Equipment and machine design is a passion of M SQUARED. We believe a great design results from a detailed understanding of the application requirements, listening to the needs of people who interact with the equipment on a day-to-day basis and incorporating those learnings into design, and using a pragmatic & realistic approach to risk assessment and implementation of the defined controls.

As part of previous work done with Continental AG, a fleet of world-class conveyor belt handling systems was developed over a number of years to facilitate the safe, efficient replacement of heavy-weight conveyor belts. This equipment has been adopted by mining industry leaders, such as Rio Tinto, Vale, Barrick Gold and FMG. This fleet of transportable equipment included; Belt Pullers (Pinch Drives), Belt Winders, Belt Turning Frames, Braked Belt Let-off Stands, Heavy Duty Belt Clamping Systems and a myriad of custom equipment used for major projects both in Australia and in other countries. A highlight included the award of U.S Patent; US 10,654,653 B1 for the design of a ‘Conveyor Belt Flaking Roller and System’.

For design & drafting work, M SQUARED is agile and able to efficiently deliver small-to-medium sized engineering packages for stand-alone applications, or as part of a larger project.
